Dennis Lynn Rader is an American serial killer known as BTK. His family raised him in Wichita. His parents both had full-time jobs and spent less time with their kids at home.
He continued by saying that he felt abandoned, especially by his mother, and disliked her for it. Rader started working as a dogcatcher and compliance officer in Park City in May 1991.
While he was in this role, neighbors remembered him as occasionally being way too harsh and too aggressive, as well as taking immense pleasure in harassing and abusing unmarried women. One of the neighbors claimed Rader intentionally murdered her dog. Dennis killed ten people in the Wichita, Kansas, area between 1974 and 1991.
He also wrote incredibly nasty letters to the police and newspapers outlining his horrific deeds. Kerri’s wife was granted an “emergency divorce” on July 26, 2005, following Dennis’ incarceration, waiving the normal waiting period.
In a 2019 interview with ABC News, Kerri stated how she still writes to her father and has forgiven him, but she still struggles to connect him with the BTK killer, claiming that her upbringing seemed common and that they were a “normal American family.”
