Who is Judge Judy Sheindlin?
Judge Judy Sheindlin is an American court show judge, television producer, and advocate for women’s empowerment. She is best known for hosting Judge Judy, an American arbitration-based reality court show that features her as she renders judgments in real small-claims cases in a simulated courtroom setting.
She entered the Guinness Book of World Records in 2015 for her role as Judge Judy, which made her the longest-serving television arbitrator in the history of courtroom-themed television.
Prior to the hearings, all parties to the dispute signed arbitration agreements affirming her judgment. The reality show has been gracing television screens with her severe legal rulings since 1996.

Judy is married to Jerry Sheindlin. The couple married in 1977 and divorced in 1990. The reason for their divorce was that Judy had problems and stress following the loss of her father in the previous year.
After the death of her father, things were a little bit difficult for her. She seemed to be unhappy with the way Jerry was handling her emotions at that time. She started posing threats to Jerry that she would divorce him. Jerry dared her which she did.
Nevertheless, the couple believed they were meant to be together in 1991. They married each other again and have been together ever since. They have lived married life for more than three decades.

Judy married her first husband, Ronald Levy, in 1964. They divorced in 1976 after 12 years of marriage. During a 2017 interview with Fox News, she opened up about her first marriage with Levy.
She explained, “My first husband is a wonderful, wonderful man, but he always saw my profession as a hobby, and there came a time when I resented that. “I was in my early 20’s when became a mother. The pressures were still there during those years, and all of my friends were getting married.”

Who are Judge Judy’s Children?
Judy has two children with her first husband. Her first child is a daughter named Jamie, born in 1966 in New York City. Her second child, a son named Adam, was born two years later in 1968.
Adam Levy pursued a career in law in the same field as his mother. He held the position of district attorney for Putnam County for a while before coming under fire for allegedly interfering with a legal proceeding. She also has three stepchildren from Jerry’s first marriage namely; Nicole, Gregory and Jonathan Sheindlin.
Nicole, who graduated from the New York Law School in 1993, is the founder and CEO of Her Honor Mentoring, an initiative that connects female high school seniors with professionals who are experts in their fields. On the other hand, Gregory is an attorney based in New York.
Jonathan differs from his siblings in that she pursued a career in medicine and he is now a doctor by profession. He apparently works out of the Bronx and is a student of ophthalmology and visual sciences. Judy has a total of 13 grandchildren among her five children.
