Rece Davis ESPN
Davis relocated from WJRT and Flint to Bristol, Connecticut, in March 1995. He started out as a sports reporter for ESPN2’s SportSmash, where he prepared and delivered five-minute updates on sports news and scores. In 1996 and 1997, Davis hosted NBA 2Night on ESPN2.
He later co-anchored ESPN’s SportsCenter alongside a number of other ESPN personalities. Davis also regularly provided the “Extra Point” report for The Dan Patrick Show on ESPN Radio, and he was a guest host on the show on occasion.
On February 5, 2015, Davis signed a multi-year contract with ESPN that also included taking over as host of the College GameDay football road show from Chris Fowler, who had hosted the show since 1990.
From 2006 to 2009, he hosted ABC’s coverage of the 2006 FIFA World Cup and was the lead host of the UEFA Euro 2008 and 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup. He decided to return to soccer as the UEFA Euro 2020 host on ESPN/ABC.
