Aaron Boone Home Run
Boone hit the game-winning walk-off home run in the American League Championship Series (ALCS) in 2003. He hit a career-high 26 home runs in 2002 while appearing in all 162 games.
Boone hit a walk-off home run off Tim Wakefield in the 11th inning of Game 7 of the 2003 ALCS, giving the New York Yankees a 6–5 victory against the Boston Red Sox, extending the Curse of the Bambino. The play was called “Curse of the Boonebino” by the New York Daily News. Baseball Tonight ranked this home run as the seventh best in history.
