Career As a Footballer | Injury
Beglin was Liverpool’s last signing, arriving from Shamrock Rovers for GB£20,000 in May 1983. The club won the League Championship and the FA Cup that season, with Beglin winning medals for each.
He also earned his Republic of Ireland debut, collecting his first of 15 caps. Beglin joined Leeds United in June 1989 and helped the club win the Second Division. Unluckily, he was forced to retire at the age of 27 in 1991 due to a recurrence of his knee ailment.
