Sid began his radio career with “The Drive,” which was only broadcast online at SportsLineUSA.com. Bernie McGuirk and Sid launched the “Bernie & Sid” show which ran from 10 a.m. to noon after Sid joined 77 WABC in 2016.
Later, the program transitioned to terrestrial radio and was nationally syndicated by SportsFan and Westwood One in more than 40 areas. He co-hosted the NFL Today pre-game show, which was broadcast nationwide on Westwood One for three seasons.
He achieved his dream in 2001 when he was hired by WFAN in New York City, the top sports-talk radio station in the country, where he anchored middays with Jody McDonald and later with Joe Benigno. Throughout 2005, he also covered sports on “Imus in the Morning.”
Sid returned to the cast of “Imus in the Morning” soon after the debut of the “Bernie & Sid” show on WABC to once again offer sports reports. He was a member of the Imus in the Morning ensemble until the show’s cancellation in March 2018.
