Ann Simons and Lord Sugar Love Story
Ann Simons was a hairdresser before she met Alan, a businessman who was only 18 at the moment while Ann was 16. Their bond was so strong that they decided to get married two years later. Their wedding was held at Great Portland Street Synagogue in April 1968. It was a wonderful ceremony attended by family and close friends.
After their wedding, they went for their honeymoon in Majorca for a fortnight. Alan explained his non-romantic proposal as follows: “It was more along the lines of, “Well, I guess we should get married now?” There was no way I was getting down on one knee at a restaurant with a rose. In fact, we were in the minivan travelling over the Stratford flyover at the time.”
