Chris Wallace CNN and Ratings
Wallace’s show on CNN+ will air on a streaming service, not cable news. Social media posts are falsely suggesting that Wallace’s new show on CNN+ was not well received by viewers and that its “first show on CNN” received record-low ratings.
The claim has appeared in Facebook posts as well as in a story on a blog that bills itself as “giving America-loving patriots access to the news the mainstream media won’t report.”
CNN responded, “Based on our research, we rate FALSE the claim that Chris Wallace’s first show on CNN received record-low ratings. Wallace’s show has not premiered yet, and when it does, it won’t receive traditional ratings like cable news shows. The claim appears to stem from a satirical website.”
